List of Participating Hatcheries

Participation in the Hatchery Compliance Program is voluntary and free of charge for facilities.  Participation is encouraged for all facility scales and business models to document facility biosecurity.  The Program incentivizes best management practices during the production and transfer of shellfish seed to streamline the facilitation of regulation and commerce.  To participate, facilities should submit an application (refer to the Hatchery Compliance page).  The stages of participation along with the current participating hatcheries are listed below.

STAGES OF HATCHERY PARTICIPATION

  • Enrolled Facility– Hatchery practices described in the application meet RSSBP Best Management Practices (BMPs).  No facility audit has been conducted.
  • BMP-Compliant Facility – Program Best Management Practices (BMPs) have been verified in an annual facility audit.
  • Biosecure Product -Required three-year health history records from an RSSBP-approved pathologist demonstrate freedom from pathogens of concern.
